Accessibility Statement

Last updated June 28, 2026

Yerba is built to be used by everyone. Here is the standard we aim for, the measures we put in place, where we still have work to do, and how to tell us when something is in your way.

Our commitment to inclusion

Yes, Yerba should work for everyone. We want every creator and every fan to be able to read, navigate, and use our pages, including the live Yerba chat, whatever device they are on and whatever assistive technology they rely on. Accessibility is not a one-time checklist for us, it is part of how we build and review the product as it grows.

The standard we aim for (WCAG 2.1 AA)

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These are the guidelines most widely used to make web experiences usable by people with a broad range of abilities. We treat them as the bar to clear, and we measure new work against them.

What we build in

Across the site, we work to keep these in place:

  • Semantic HTML. Headings, landmarks, lists, and labels are marked up with real structure, so screen readers can announce the page in a sensible order.
  • Keyboard navigation. The things you can do with a mouse you can also do with a keyboard, including moving through links, buttons, and the chat.
  • Visible focus. Interactive elements show a clear focus indicator, so you always know where you are on the page.
  • Sufficient contrast. We choose text and background colors that aim to stay readable against our palette, not just pretty.
  • Reduced motion. Our animated sections respect the operating-system "reduce motion" setting (prefers-reduced-motion), so animation calms down when you ask it to.
  • Responsive layouts. Pages reflow for phones, tablets, and desktops, and stay usable when text is zoomed.

Known gaps and how to tell us

We are honest that we are not finished. Some parts of the site, especially the richer animated and shader-driven sections, may not yet meet every Level AA criterion, and a few third-party pieces are outside our direct control. We treat these as work in progress and keep improving them as we go.

If something gets in your way, tell us, because real feedback is the fastest way for us to fix it. Email support@yerba.chat with the page address and a short description of what happened, and a real person will read it and do our best to put things right. We only use what you share to resolve the issue, as set out in our Privacy policy, and you can read more about how we keep creators and fans safe on our Trust and Safety page.
